Especially all the crud that came out after Episode 1. I wish they'd make a true Jedi Knight game again, I'm sick of the consolized trash LucasArts produces now.
In the official Star Wars canon, I believe the light side endings were official. They both follow the stereotypical Star Wars story line or Jedi/Light side vs the Sith/Dark Side with the player ultimately choosing whether or not to follow the light or dark paths after a certain point. This made Academy more interesting to play through and it kept me interested longer because of the appearance of progress. Academy's format was much better, a handful of shorter 'missions' between longer levels that focused on the game's main plot. The levels were incredibly long and drawn out, often looking identical with the player trying in vain to find some key to open a door in some obscure corner to progress.
Outcast was an excellent game, but I had a major problem with it.
